Perth County SCIA hosts Ontario Forage Council's Forage Expo

The  Ontario  Forage  Council, in  conjunction  with  the Perth and Victoria County  Soil  and  Crop Improvement  Associations, are proud  to announce  Ontario  Forage  Expo 2019-Forage  Equipment Demonstrations and Trade Show.  Perth County will host a location on Tuesday, July 9th at Pendora Dairy Ltd., 6447 Road 164 Monkton, ON,and Victoria Countywill host an eastern location at Vosbrae Farms, 140 Skyline Rd., on Tuesday,July 16thin Oakwood, ON. Additional address details will be added to the Forage Council website.

This  year’s demonstrations  will  include  equipment  from  the  leaders  in  forage  production  equipment. Attendees will not only have the chance to see what’s new for 2019 but will also have the unique opportunity to witness this equipment in head to head field trials! Equipment will include various mowers, conditioners, rakes,  tedders,  windrow  inverters,  mergers,  harvesters,  dump  wagons,  large  round  balers,  large  square balers,  small  square  bale  bundlers,  bale  wrappers  and  bale  grapplers. 

This  event  will  provide the opportunity for farmers to view the latest technology available to harvest forage quickly with minimal loss and maximum quality. Ian McDonald and Christine O’Reilly, OMAFRA will be in the field,working with the  equipment  companies to  provide  information  to  farmers and  answer  questions.    This  is important  in making decisions on investments which ultimately  enhance their farm operations  in capacity, minimizing harvest losses, product quality and profitability.This  event  is FREE  TO  THE  FARMING  COMMUNITY!   Lunch  will  be  available  on-site, and no  pre-registration is required.  Tradeshow, demonstration and sponsorship opportunities are still available for this event.Spaces are limited and will fill quickly, so don’t hesitate.  Ontario Forage Expo is an excellent opportunity to advertise to a forage focused audiencec ompiled of producers from counties across the province!
